Partnership with Days Out opens up wider audiences for attractions

Friday May 19, 2023

This new partnership will extend reach and boost visibility for UK attractions.

We are delighted to share another exciting – and rather timely – new partnership as we enter peak holiday season in the tourism calendar.

Advancing TXGB’s reach in the ‘things to do’ category, attractions across the UK can now add the new consumer facing platform; daysout.co.uk to their distribution network, via TXGB.

With a shared vision for a ‘visitor-first’ approach to bookability, this new partnership gives people a fuss-free way to book the most talked about experiences in the UK.

For attraction businesses, the new connection means they can seamlessly plug their live availability into the daysout.co.uk channel and vice versa, bringing new audiences to more attractions and activities.

The Days Out consumer ticketing platform launched in 2022 and is now on a mission to lead the way in the ticketing sector, with its ‘know before you go’ premise and commitment for customers to ‘book happy’.

Its stand-out feature is the way it breaks down the need-to-know information about the UKs’ leading theme parks, zoos, wildlife parks, aquariums, tourist attractions and immersive experiences, into bite size chunks.

It gives top insider tips and hacks, as opposed to reviews, providing visitors everything they need to know to get the most out of their trip.

The platform’s goal is to reduce the need for endless scrolling, helping visitors to quickly choose and book their tickets in less than a minute.

Less scrolling, more adventuring

With new functionality rolling out pre-summer, the team expects the site to be the go-to choice for customers.

Any UK attraction product will be able to connect to the platform – breaking down the industry’s silos even further and delivering more choice to the consumer.

Existing TXGB customers can simply opt-in to Days Out via their dashboard.

Crucially, by building the connection to TXGB, Days Out has reduced the number of API integrations* and the associated complexities required to reach a wider audience for its UK attractions.

In addition, Days Out is reducing their commission to cover the TXGB booking fee, giving businesses a flexible and easy way to connect to their channel.

Catherine Warrilow, managing director of Days Out says:

‘In 2023, visitors – and the growing GenZ audience in particular – are looking for new and exciting experiences but without the laborious searching. They want to make quick transactions with less scrolling and more adventuring.

‘Key to this is creating a standout platform that focuses on functionality that genuinely benefits the customer – something Days Out prides itself on. For us, that’s about an effortless experience for the consumer and listening to what attractions really need us to achieve for them.

‘By connecting to TXGB, it is now simpler to plug-in relevant attractions and their availability, streamlining the consumer journey while boosting the distribution reach and visibility for attraction businesses keen to connect to our platform. For us it’s about creating a frictionless experience, not loading the site with volume for the sake of it.’
