60 destinations connections – we’ve got England covered

Thursday April 8, 2021

TXGB is proud to be building a network of connectivity that now spans the length and breadth of England.

Recent research shows that “trusted sources of information”* will play a central role in researching trips and making bookings as we follow the path out of lockdown. As consumers start to plan days out and longer domestic trips it’s important that we, as an industry, create a frictionless consumer journey from finding the latest guidance to making a booking.

At TXGB we have long recognised that destination websites will play a fundamental role in this. In July 2020 we celebrated our connection to 20 destination websites. This grew to 40 in December 2020. And we’ve now reached our 60th destination connection.

From Cumbria to the Isles of Scilly, from the East of England to the Cotswolds, we’ve got England covered from north to south and east to west. TXGB is the only B2B platform of its kind in the UK to offer connectivity of this scale via destination websites. And with commission rates between 0% and 7.5%, these destination websites offer a cost effective route to market which drives money back into promoting the local visitor economy.

If you run a tourism business, then these connections give access to multiple promotional opportunities and sales channels in one place. For example an accommodation provider, attraction or experience in York could feature on destination websites such as VisitYork.com, Yorkshire.com, Cycle-England.co.uk, ExplorersRoad.com and EnglandOriginals.com as well as niche distribution channels such as Rugby League World Cup 2021, CoolPlaces.co.uk, Away with the Kids a whole host of larger OTAs.

Connection for your tourism business is free of charge, there is no minimum connection period, and you only get charged when you make a booking. What’s more, if you do not currently have a booking system, TXGB can help you get started with that too. Whether you’re a tourism business in Newcastle or Nottingham, in Bristol or Bournemouth, we invite you to get in touch to find out how these connections can raise your visibility, drive your sales and support your local destination.

And as for when we reach 80 destinations? Watch this space!
