Visit Monmouthshire

The rural county of Monmouthshire is known as the ‘Food capital of Wales’.

It borders the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, the Gwent Levels and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Visit Monmouthshire is the official destination marketing organisation (DMO) for the region and was keen to improve the support offered to tourism businesses, by enabling them to leverage the reach of VisitMonmouthshire.com to drive more direct bookings.

We connected with TXGB because we were interested in its low commission rate as a way to help keep booking revenues in the destination for the benefit of individual businesses and their supply chains – and also because it has a wide distribution network to enable businesses to increase their reach..

Our website has been connected to TXGB since its launch and we’re pleased that Visit Wales have procured the licence for Welsh businesses to use it.

Regional possibilities

As Visit Monmouthshire works with around 500 businesses that offer a wide range of tourism experiences to domestic and overseas markets, they have been able to communicate the benefits of TXGB via email.

And it’s easy for any Monmouth tourism business to connect, either via the existing booking system they use, if already connected, or via the free TXGB inventory loading tool, TXLoad.
